The Terrafugia "Transition" flying car can be parked in your garage, runs on super unleaded gas and goes from plane to car in about half a minute. Around here, we see tons of custom cars. After a while, a lot of them start to bleed together in the memory like dudes you hung out with in high school. To avoid this, Alpine works hard to make their customs memorable. They’ve done insane, nearly unrecognizable versions of the Civic, the X5 and the MINI. But Alpine’s star demo car for the 2008 CES is unbelievable. It’s huge, and it seems to have no wheels and no doors. It looks just like a boat.
