Some Impala fans would never consider customizing their car to this extent. Luckily for us, owner Mark Pearce, who is an Impala fan, has a radically different opinion of what to do with this classic Chevy.

When professional rerecording mixer Gary Summers built the sound system in his 2006 Mercedes Benz C230 Sport, he wanted to have all the benefits of a high-end 5.1 system without having to see it overtly. For the minimal-looking, but intense-sounding build (outlined in this earlier article), Scott Babson and Aaron Braverman of Kustom Kar Audio in Santa Rosa, CA, took over.

A GTO that's more than a restoration. It combines American muscle with American technology. Though the Pontiac brand is gone, this car continues to stand for the greatness of this country's automotive culture.

Car audio diehard and professional rerecording mixer Gary Summers always strives for audio perfection. When he bought this 2006 Mercedes Benz C230 Sport three years ago, he decided to build the 5.1 system he had always wanted to create in his previous competition vehicle. But, he had a few stipulations. First, the 5.1 system had to also reproduce audiophile quality stereo as well. Second, he wanted as little modification as possible to the Benz.

If GM can't sell enough GM cars, then maybe they should give others a try. The Malibu is an affordable car with a lot of appeal as-is, but we think there might be a serious sales boost if they had, say, an MTX-edition Malibu with a motorized amprack in the trunk and some woofers in the back seat area. People buy trucks when they commute three hours a day. Maybe people will buy cars with no trunk room and lots of bass!

Retro’s been in long enough to make it cliché. But if you take retro and make it state-of-the-art badass, it’s a whole ‘nother thing. Realm Audio achieved that whole ‘nother thing with their 1963 Lincoln Continental and we couldn’t be happier.

Every year electronics manufacturer Pioneer challenges a select number of car audio shops across the country to build the ultimate sound-off vehicle. Their Pioneer PRS Demo Vehicle Build-Off in 2007 resulted in this amazing 2004 Subaru WRX STI. In addition to the turbocharged engine and other upgrades, this custom WRX performs in the sound realm. It slapped down all competitors but one, coming in an admirable second place.
