I was about to start this editor's note with the trite, "This month..." After working on magazines for over a decade you don't easily shake those tired habits. But hey, I quit smoking so I imagine I can do pretty much anything (I think).

I could tell you what we're doing this month but then it's better if you check the site every other day or so--yes, because we want the traffic. We get lonely easily. More than that, however, I plan to be working on posting new content practically everyday, including weekends (that's what I hate about being on the Internet; you don't get a break!), so the least a faithful reader could do is tell us whether or not what we're providing is worth our effort. Actually, on second thought, keep your hatemail to yourself! ;)

The homepage main image is a collage of the content you'll find on our new website. We have a ton of videos that cover a myriad of subjects. We have how-tos, industry experts explaining technology and new product presentations, feature vehicles, interviews and so forth. And we have a bunch of other videos still to edit. Soon we'll be soliciting users' videos for inclusion on our site. We'll probably even give away some prizes to encourage you. The better the video, the better the prize.

We have traditional how-to content too; that is, text and pics. Custom car experts show you step by step how to make your car and mobile A/V system your own. Or if you need inspiration for what you might do, go to our Custom Car section for ideas.

The MotorMusicMag.com cover pic, which you can see on the left side of this page, will be linked to our car feature of the month. Print may be dead, or nearly so, but there were some cool things we used to be able to do on paper that we'd like to carry over. Like the car feature layout. Perhaps we're not yet all so driven for raw content that we can't enjoy cars presented with a little thoughtful design. Please take a look at the Audi A4 when that gets posted by Tuesday.

We'll be adding content feverishly through the launch week, so look for more product reviews as well. But reviews of new products will take place a couple of weeks from now, when manufacturers start getting new wares. Until then see our Geariyaki page for a preview of the latest gadgets and car audio related gear for '09.

I'm also pleased to announce that Derek Lee of Mobile Dynamics is our Troubleshooting expert and he'll continue to do what he's been doing for over a decade, answering enthusiasts' questions about electronics and audio. As an added feature, we'll be working with MERA, which will make its network of experts available to us and our users to quickly answer 12-volt related questions. No maddening delays when you're working on your projects due to technical difficulties.

Finally, visit our Hard Drive pages for music related content, including video files of songs and artists we want to share with others who love music, be it in the home, in the car or when you have those ubiquitous earphones in your head--it's amazing we ever talk to one another sometimes. If we ever do stop talking though, I would hope that music will still be there to connect us all. That's my one note for the month, or week or day. -Ben Oh
